Sue Peschin's Bio

  Sue Peschin runs her own business, Discover Inspiration, offering lobby workshops, meeting facilitation services, and individual coaching to help corporate and nonprofit clients. Sue has more than twelve years of experience in health policy analysis, legislative advocacy, and coalition management. Before founding her own consulting business, Ms. Peschin was Senior Associate for The Sheridan Group, providing clients with strategic guidance on regulatory and legislative issues. Prior to The Sheridan Group Ms. Peschin served as Project Director for Consumer Federation of America where she led the national campaign to regulate firearms as consumer products. In 1999, Ms. Peschin lobbied on hate crimes and foreign aid, working with colleagues to coordinate more than 1,800 delegates for Hadassah's National Day on the Hill program. From 1993 to 1999, Ms. Peschin served as Health Policy Analyst for the Violence Policy Center where she authored several studies and led the national coalition to successfully pass the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban. Previously, Ms. Peschin worked for the Cancer Information Service at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where she responded to inquiries from patients, family members and the general public. Sue Peschin has debated issues on national television news and radio, spoke at conferences and Capitol Hill briefings, and wrote opinion pieces published in newspapers nationwide. Ms. Peschin received her Master of Health Science from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her B.A. from Brandeis University. Ms. Peschin is a member of the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
